When is the deadline to RSVP?
The deadline to RSVP is Sunday, December 1, 2024.
I forgot to RSVP by the deadline! Can I still attend the wedding?
We sent out save the dates six months prior to our special day and formal invitations ten weeks prior in order to give our guests plenty of time to make arrangements and plan their attendance. While we would love to make exceptions for all of our friends and family, we must provide our wedding venue and our caterer with a final guest count at the beginning of December. Due to contractual obligations, we are unable to make exceptions. Thank you so much for understanding!
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
The ceremony begins at 5:30pm. We respectfully request that you arrive 60 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. This extra time will allow you to walk through the building to the ceremony and be in your seats 30-45 minutes before the ceremony begins. Guests who arrive after 5:30 will be asked to kindly wait outside until the cocktail hour begins. Thank you for understanding and planning accordingly!
Is there parking at the wedding venue?
Yes there is plenty of parking at Events at Judson Mill. Please visit wedding venue page for up to date information on parking (link immediately below).
How far away is the Embassy Suites (host hotel) from the wedding?
The Embassy Suites Greenville Downtown Riverplace is only 2.1 miles away from Events at Judson Mill. However, we do not recommend walking between the two locations. We are offering shuttle transportation from/to the Embassy Suites, you can arrange an Uber, or drive yourself from the hotel to the wedding ceremony and reception. It is under a 10 minute drive.
Are there any shuttle to/from the hotel and wedding venue?
Yes, we are providing shuttle transportation from/to the Embassy Suites Greenville Downtown (host hotel). The shuttle will begin taking guests from the hotel to the wedding venue at 4:00pm. The shuttle will begin taking guests back to the hotel at 10:00pm for those who are not able to stay until 11:00pm, when the reception concludes.
We respectfully ask that, if you choose to drive yourself to the wedding venue, that you drink responsibly. You are all very important to us and we want this day to be remembered for only wonderful moments!
What is formal / cocktail attire?
As your possibly last big party for 2024, we hope you'll take our wedding as an opportunity to pamper yourself and dress up for a fun evening. Clothing trends come and go and what is considered formal today may be different from years ago. So here's a little guide to help you out (you can also search the internet for inspiration!):
Formal / Cocktail Attire for Men:
Suits in any color and a dress shirt
Sweater/sweater vest and jacket
Bow ties or neck ties
Open collar and suit jacket
Formal / Cocktail attire for women:
Cocktail dress (floor, midi, or knee length)
Elegant pantsuit
Dressy separates
What are your wedding colors?
Our wedding colors are navy blue, slate blue, and gold!
May the guests dress in the wedding colors if they wish?
Absolutely! If you would like to join in the fun and wear your best blues and golds, we would be honored. But it is not required.
May I bring a plus one?
Due to size restrictions at our venue, we are limited to a specific number of guests. As such, each guest invitation contains the names of the invited guests on the envelope or will say "and guest".
May I bring my children?
We have invited a very small number of children under the age of 16 to attend our wedding and those families have been notified. Unfortunately, due to size restrictions we are unable to accommodate any other children. The names of each invited guest, including children, are listed on the envelope of the invitation. For parents of young children, we hope you can use our wedding as an excuse to enjoy a well deserved adult night out!
We hope you understand, and will use our wedding as an opportunity for some child free fun!
Are there accommodations for people with limited mobility?
Yes! The Events at Judson Mill has an elevator between the two floors in addition to the outside staircase. Parking is on the upper level, where the reception will be held. The ceremony will be on the lower level. The elevator can easily accommodate guests in wheelchairs and using rollators.
Is there special consideration for people with dietary restrictions?
Certainly. Please let us know on your RSVP what your dietary restrictions are, and the caterer will be happy to accommodate your needs.
How will the food be served?
There will be passed hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour followed by food stations throughout the reception. Some of the food stations will be self serve while others were be attended by staff. There will hot and cold food available.
Please inform us of any dietary restrictions you have when you RSVP and our caterer will be happy to accommodate your specific needs. Please be sure to communicate your needs so we can ensure that you have a meal to meet your needs!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, we are offering guests an open bar with hand selected wine and beer and a cash bar for liquor. However, we ask that guests be prepared to tip our hard working bartenders!
Is this an outside event?
The ceremony and reception will be indoors. The cocktail hour may be held outside with a rain plan of moving it inside, if necessary.
The Events at Judson Mill is a really neat space. It is a renovated textile mill that was built in 1912 and was once the largest textile mill in Greenville County. The renovations have done a wonderful job of maintaining the "rustic meets industrial" vibe along with quite a bit of nostalgia.
What will the weather be like in December?
We have a saying about the weather in South Carolina..."If you don't like the weather in South Carolina, just wait a minute and it'll change."
That said, the average temperature in Greenville in December ranges from a low of 38 degrees and a high of 57 degrees. If we get any precipitation, it will likely be rain and not snow.
The wedding ceremony and reception will be held indoors so the weather should not have any impact on our celebration!
May I take pictures at the ceremony?
We respectfully request that you refrain from taking any photographs during the ceremony portion of the evening. We have hired a spectacular photographer and videographer who will capture the entire ceremony and all of our special moments. It would break our hearts if our photographer took "the perfect picture" but was blocked by a cell phone in the middle of the shot. There will be plenty of time to take pictures with us after the ceremony and throughout the entire reception!
Please also remember to silence your phones prior to the start of the ceremony so there are no disruptions during our special moment. Thank you for understanding and respecting our wishes.
May I post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Yes, we would be honored if you wanted to share your excitement and photos on social media. Please tag us in your pictures on social media and also use our hashtags so we can find your pictures more easily! Our only request is that you not post anything during the wedding ceremony as that is a very special time for us we prefer no distractions. The ceremony is a sacred time for us our pastor, family, and special friends to bear witness to our union. We only get one shot at getting this right!
Will you be livestreaming your wedding?
Livestreaming is to be determined based on the needs of our guests. If some of our very special friends and family cannot make the trip we would like to accommodate them with a livestream so they may still be a part of our special day.
Are you using hashtags?
We are! Who doesn't love a good hashtag? The hashtags we've chosen are:
